A fresh new voice!

A reception honoring incoming football coach Butch Veazey (pictured) will be held March 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lewisburg High School cafeteria. The former SBEC head football coach replaces Mark Hogan, who had served as head coach ever since the school opened.

“We’re excited about our football program at Lewisburg,” said J.D. Cox of the Lewisburg High School Football Club. “We’re very glad to have coach Veazey; this is not only going to affect our school and our district, but the whole county.

“When coach Veazey was hired he talked about how it’s going to take everyone believing in the program,” Cox continued. “We’re asking everyone to help us show coach Veazey that we believe, and show him by example that we can work together.” (Photo by Jamie Mercer)
