Jared Mycyk Comes to Mississippi from NCAA Division One Program
SOUTHAVEN --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League today announced that Jared Mycyk (pronounced MIGH-sick) has joined the organization as the team’s new head equipment manager. RiverKings head coach and director of Hockey Operations Kevin “Killer” Kaminski made the announcement of Mycyk's addition to the team. Mycyk comes to the RiverKings for his first professional assignment after serving as the head equipment manager for the men's and women's hockey programs at Robert Morris University (RMU), an NCAA Division One program in Moon Township, Pa., just northwest of Pittsburgh. Robert Morris had been a member of the College Hockey America conference, but this year will play in the Atlantic Hockey conference. “Jared comes highly recommended and from a great program,” said Kaminski. “He seems very professonal and loves his job. We are very fortunate to have Jared on the staff of the RiverKings' family.” Mycyk had been the men's program equipment manager since 2004, first as an undergraduate student at RMU and then as a graduate student since 2008. He served in the same capacity for the women's program between 2005-08 as an undergraduate student. Mycyk has also been the assistant equipment manager for the Colonials' football program the past two years and his RMU background also included a little over a year working in the Robert Morris University Island Pro Shop. He leaves RMU with a bachelor of science in business administration (BSBA) degree in sport management and a BSBA in marketing. He has also earned a master of business administration degree, which he received just prior to his hiring by the RiverKings. |
