Memphis Returns 3,000 Tickets for Season Opener

STARKVILLE - Mississippi State fans have been purchasing season tickets at a record pace, and now they will have another opportunity to get tickets to the season opener against Memphis.

Athletic department officials announced on Friday the University of Memphis returned more than 3,000 tickets for the schools' season-opening tilt.

"Due to overwhelming orders from our fan base earlier this month, we stopped taking ticket requests for the Memphis game," assistant athletic director for ticket operations John King said. "With these returned tickets, we'll be able to accommodate those orders we previously turned away and begin processing additional requests."

 The ticket office will add the Memphis tickets to its inventory when opening Monday morning and fans can purchase online at MStateAthletics.com/Tickets and by calling 800-GO-DAWGS.

Also Monday morning the ticket office will begin selling student season tickets at locations in the Colvard Student Union as well as the Bryan Building.
