Season Ticket Sales Continue; Single-Game Tickets Now Available to General Public

August 2, 2010

STARKVILLE –Mississippi State officials announced late last week that season ticket sales had eclipsed the previous school record of 40,091 set last season.

Through the end of the day on Monday, more than 41,200 season tickets had been sold.

Today, the ticket office began accepting orders from the general public for single game tickets. Lower level seating remains for the Kentucky and UAB games, but the other five contests only upper level tickets remain. The only way for fans to purchase lower level seats for those games is through a season-ticket package.

“This is another example of the passion and excitement within the Mississippi State family,” director of athletics Scott Stricklin said. “We still have a little over a month until we kick off against Memphis, so anybody that hasn’t ordered their season tickets really should do so soon.”

Last season, 376,544 fans attended games at Davis Wade Stadium, shattering the previous Bulldog record by nearly 70,000 and leading the nation in increased average attendance from the year prior.

Mississippi State begins its preparation for the upcoming season with practices on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of this week and the Bulldogs kick off the 2010 campaign on Sept. 4 against Memphis at 6 p.m.
