Red Zone, Goal-Line Focus of Tuesday Work

STARKVILLE – If head coach Dan Mullen was concerned that the team didn’t get off to the start he was looking for in Tuesday morning’s workout, his worries were quickly put to rest as the Bulldogs picked up the intensity in a hurry.

State focused on red zone and goal-line situations for most of the morning, and players were flying around celebrating a stop or a score on nearly every play.

“You always get a little worried when the intensity isn’t there right in the beginning, but we got a lot of good work done today,” Mullen said following the practice. "Guys picked it up and we got after it all morning."

The Bulldogs practice only once today before returning to a two-workout schedule on Wednesday.
