Cristil to Begin 58th Year on MSU Football Broadcasts

August 27, 2010

STARKVILLE – On Saturdays this fall, the familiar voice of Jack Cristil will return to the Mississippi State football radio broadcast for the 58th consecutive year.

For the second straight year, the Bulldog Tailgate Show will initiate the football game-day broadcast two hours prior to kickoff.  For MSU's seven home games, the show will be aired from the Cellular South FanFair, adjacent to Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field near the Junction.

MSU assistant AD for Annual Giving and Lady Bulldog basketball play-by-play announcer Bart Gregory will be joined by former Bulldog quarterback and Comcast Sports Southeast color analyst Matt Wyatt for the 90-minute pre-game show.

Cristil, color analyst Jim Ellis and sideline commentator John Correro will take over the broadcast for the final 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Following the game and the initial wrap-up from the stadium, Gregory and Wyatt will host the Fifth Quarter Show from the Veranda Restaurant in Starkville.
