Mustangs Fall One Game Short of State Championship
The Center Hill Mustangs gave the Bay St. Louis Tigers all they could handle on Monday, March 1, as the two teams met in the 4A state semi-finals in Jackson. Despite having three players in double figures, the Mustangs fell, 59-54, in overtime.?> With the loss, Center Hill ends the season at 20-16. Bay St. Louis, which faces crosstown rival St. Stanislaus on Friday for the state crown, moves to 33-3.Brandon Lucas paced the Mustangs with 15 points, followed closely by Ashaad Stephens and Jaquon Mullins, each with 12. Jabarri Fisher had seven, Kelvin Bonner added five and Johnny Scales contributed three. Daron Bell led the Tigers with 22 points.
