Dogs Finish Day One Work Indoors?>
August 3, 2010
STARKVILLE – With heat indexes hovering around the 110 degree mark, an afternoon shower provided a bit of relief here on Tuesday during the second Bulldog practice of the day. While the respite from the heat was welcome, the accompanying lightning got a little too close for comfort and chased inside the second group of Mississippi State players practicing on the day. The 52 players at the afternoon session went through the same scripted workout as the earlier practice and focused mainly on individual and group instruction before a short team period to close out work. Both practices were conducted with players in the mandated attire of helmets and shorts as part of the NCAA acclimation period. Head coach Dan Mullen sent his team through a pair of practices on the first day of work, breaking the team up to allow for more individual instruction. The squad will take a break from practice tomorrow for second summer session exams, and return to the practice fields on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. |
