Thank You

Mississippi House of Representatives

Thank all of you for sending me your personal experiences regarding Alzheimers.

There was the friend and a husband whose wife was diagnosed with this disease at 39.

A mother who attended her son's wedding and asked, "Who's getting married?"

A daughter who for her own emotional well-being can only be around her late stage Alzheimers mother for an hour at a time.

And many more

I hope I can do more than say, "You will be in my prayers."  I have saved your responses to read from time-to-time to bring me back to the real world when I think I have problems.  Thank you for Loving the people closest to you.

I cannot understand why as a people, as a nation we can spend hundreds of billions of dollars to build up two nations that are going to fall back into their old ways as we leave, but have to fight for, justify, and beg for every penny spent on helping our own cope with debilitating diseases.

Thank you for sharing with me.
