Well now the Student Rebel Mascot Selection Committee wants you to review the 11 mascot concepts and give them your feedback. They say our input will affect which concepts will be among those advanced into the final design phase. More than one of these concepts will go forward, and some concepts may even be combined or altered based upon your input.

I know what many of us at the Colonel Reb Foundation think: they are all horrible! But guess what? You don't have to like any of them, and you can tell them that on their own web page!

"None of The Above" has been a time honored campaign concept in American politics for years, and "Option E" in this election is the same thing. That is just what many of us are doing when we go online to vote today.

But don't take our word for it. Take a look at their proposals by clicking here  www.mascot.olemiss.edu/?page_id=244 and then give them your own feedback on the mascot choice. Ole Miss students, faculty, staff, alumni association members and Season Ticket holders are eligible to vote in this next step to try to replace Colonel Reb.

Polling began Monday, June 28, at 8 a.m., and ends Tuesday, July 6, at 5 p.m. Please visit  www.mascot.olemiss.edu  to join the process. To participate if you are

not a season ticket holder or currently enrolled you will need to join the alumni association and log in with your membership number and date of birth.
