The DeSoto County Foundation for Excellence in Education, Inc. is pleased to ?>announce it has received a donation for classroom teacher grants from DeSoto County State Farm Insurance Agencies in the amount of $2600. These funds will be used to award five-or-six classroom teacher grants at the 21th annual Salute to Education Program scheduled for Sept. 30 at the DeSoto County Schools Administration Building in Hernando. A strong education system is essential to the economic development and quality of life in DeSoto County, and State Farm Insurance has been a generous and valued supporter for many years. Local State Farm Insurance agents presented a check for $2600 to Jim Flanagan, (fourth from right) president/CEO of DeSoto County Foundation for Excellence in Education, Inc. to be used for classroom teacher grants.
