OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Monday, Aug. 9

 

 

12093 - Grand Larceny - Tobacco and Beer Store @ 7721 Hacks Cross Rd. - 1:30 p.m.

A store manager called from Tobacco and Beer, located at 7721 Hacks Cross Road, to report the theft of two refrigeration units.  It was noticed after customers were telling the store employees that their beer was not cold.  The units were stolen from the rear of the business and appear to be the only two that did not have steel frames bolting them to the concrete slab.

 

 

12096 - Burglary of a Dwelling- 4500 Block of Tacoma Place - 2:16 p.m. 

The victim stated when she arrived home from work she noticed the front door was open slightly. She went into the master bedroom and noticed her boyfriend's clothing and personal information was on the floor. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence at the time of the report.

 

 

12112 - Petit Larceny - Hacks Cross Rd @ Hwy. 302 - 7:09 p.m. 

An OPBD officer stopped to assist a motorist. The officer spoke with the 60-year-old owner of the 1999 Nissan Frontier, who stated that he had left the vehicle at this location at approximately 3:30 p.m. When he returned around 5 p.m. he cranked his truck and he said it sounded like an "airplane" being so loud.   He then discovered that someone had removed the catalytic converter from his vehicle.

 

 

OBPD officers also made arrests for Suspended Driver’s License (one), No Driver’s License (one) and Contempt of Court (one).
