OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Tuesday, Aug. 3
11741 - False Pretenses/Identity Theft - 9300 Block of Brooks Dr.- 3:30 p.m.
A 35-year-old victim reported that an unknown person used her ID information and took all of the money out of her daughter's bank account. Her juvenile daughter receives a disability check every month. The money is directly deposited into an account at Regions Bank. She said that she went to the bank to withdraw the money and the teller told her that the money was not there. The teller told her that the money had been withdrawn at a branch in Oxford. The unknown suspect used her ID in order to gain access to the account.
