Crime Watch Notes Reported Thursday, Aug. 26 ?>
13086 - Credit Card Use to Defraud - 6200 Block of Oak Circle W. - 3:26 p.m. A 37-year-old male reported that his debit card showed fraudulent charges from an on-line company made without his approval. He still has his debit card in his possession. Total charges were $37.49.
13089 - Robbery - WalMart, 7950 Craft Goodman Frontage Rd. - 11:51 a.m. A 41-year-old female reported that she was in the cheese aisle when a male black wearing an orange shirt attempted to take her wallet out of her purse that was on her arm. She stated that he had the wallet in his hand but she snatched it back from him and he ran out of the store. Witnesses said the suspect fled in a gold Dodge Stratus last seen driving northbound on Craft Goodman Frontage Rd. towards Craft Rd. No injuries were reported.
13096 - False Pretenses - Dodge's Store, 6973 Hwy. 305 - 1:51 p.m. Management of Dodge's reported that a customer attempted to cash a check that he had received in the mail for winnings in the amount of $985.18. When the manager called the issuing bank, she was informed that many complaints had been received about the same type of checks that were all fraudulent.
OBPD officers also made arrests for Violation of Probation (one), Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (one), No Proof of Insurance (one), Possession of Marijuana (one), Possession of Paraphernalia (one) and Fugitive from Justice (one).
