OBPD Crime Watch Notes Reported Sunday, Aug. 22?>
12825 - Attempted Burglary of a Dwelling - 6700 Block of Paloma Dr. - 1:27 a.m. A 36-year-old resident reported that he and his wife were asleep in bed when they heard a noise. He got up and went into the kitchen and noticed the window above the sink had been opened and the window screen removed. He also noticed that the gate leading into the back yard was open. Two of the windows on his storage shed located behind their house had been opened. Nothing appeared to be missing at the time of report.
12842 - Burglary of an Auto - 6300 Block of Oak Run Dr. E. - 9 a.m. The 47-year-old victim stated he arrived home at approximately 9:30 p.m. and did not lock the doors on his Chevy pickup. At approximately 8:30 a.m. he noticed his box of cigars, Garmin GPS, Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun and Samsung cell phone were missing. The weapon was entered into N.C.I.C. as stolen. The estimated valued of the stolen items was $715.
12851 - Burglary of an Auto - 4700 Block of BoBo Place -12:39 p.m. A 52-year-old female reported that an unknown person entered her 1995 Nissan pickup during the weekend and stole the stereo from the dash. There was no forced entry.
12865 - Burglary of an Auto - 10100 Block of Oak Run Dr South - 3:51 p.m. A 27-year-old victim stated she left her doors unlocked to her Honda Odyssey on the night of Aug. 21. She stated sometime between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. someone entered into her vehicle and stole her purse. The purse was located between the driver and passenger seat. Her debit card was used at the Red Box at Walgreen's on Hacks Cross Rd at approximately 4:45 a.m. and then at the Shell Gas station on Church Rd. in Southaven a short time later.
12888 - Petit Larceny - 10000 Block of Fox Hunt Dr. - 10:30 p.m. A 41-year-old victim reported that his 15-inch Schwinn bicycle was stolen from the side of his residence. The bike was last seen on Aug. 21 at about 9:30 p.m.. Value of the bike was listed at $250.
OBPD officers also made arrests for Suspended Driver’s License (two) and Contempt of Court (one).
