Crime Notes Reported Saturday, Aug. 21

 

 

12765 - Burglary of a Commercial Building - Check Cashing, Inc @ 6574 Hwy. 305 - 3:45 a.m.

Officers responded to an alarm call at Check Cashing, Inc.  A window was broken but nothing appeared to be missing according to the manager. 

 

 

12776 - Credit Card Use to Defraud - 6900 Block of Maury Dr. - 9:51 a.m.

A 56-year-old victim reported that he had unfamiliar charges on his FedEx Credit Union Visa card. A total of four charges totaling $624.94 were for purchase made at a mall in Delaware. 

 

 

12777 - Auto Burglary - 6500 Block of Farley Dr. E. - 9:53 a.m.

A 44-year-old victim reported that the doors of her unlocked Ford van were found open.  It appeared that everything had been gone through but nothing appeared to be missing except $2 from her wallet.  She also reported that her unlocked Nissan may also have been entered.

 

 

12780 - Petit Larceny - Jiffy Lube @ 8031 Goodman Rd. - 10:23 a.m.

A 38-year-old victim believes her iPhone charger was taken from her car while having her oil changed at Jiffy Lube.  She reported the charger missing to the management. Value of the charger is $30.

 

 

12789 - Burglary of a Dwelling - 9100 Block of Lakeshore Dr. - 1:29 p.m.

A 40-year-old victim noticed that some tools were missing from his garage.  Value of the various tools and toolbox was about $110.  Entry may have been made when the garage door was left up at some point as there was no forced entry.

 

 

12792 - Auto Burglary - 6700 Block of Branch Estates Dr. - 2:10 p.m.

A 19-year-old victim reported that his wallet had been stolen from the console of his unlocked Chevrolet Malibu during the night.  The wallet contained his debit card, insurance card and his gym card.  The debit card already showed to have pending charges on it from gas stations, Red Box movie rental and Taco Bell totaling around $300.

 

 

12804 - Petit Larceny - Hampton Inn Hotel, 8051 Goodman Rd. - 7:54 p.m.

A 54-year-old female stated that when she and her family arrived at Colton's Steak House she placed her purse on the floor in the waiting area.  When leaving the restaurant she could not locate her purse and realized it had been taken.  The purse contained her I-phone, credit cards and $60 in cash.  It did not appear that anyone had tried to use the credit cards at the time of the report. 

 

 

12818 - Burglary of a Dwelling - 4100 Block of Hwy. 305 - 11:53 p.m.

A 31-year-old reported that an acquaintance who lives a couple of doors down had forced entry into her home.  The suspect ran away when confronted by her boyfriend and her canine.  The 25-year-old suspect was arrested at his home the next morning. 

 

 

OBPD officers also made four arrests for Suspended Driver’s License.
