OBPD Crime Watch Notes Reported Friday, Aug. 20?>
12700 - Grand Larceny - Ferrell Gas @ 9047 Yahweh Dr - 6:29 a.m. A company representative reported a stolen air-conditioning unit. The air-conditioning unit had been previously located on the east side of the building. All the wires going to the unit had been cut.
12706 - Vending Machine Burglary - Quality Landscape @ 5845 Goodman Rd. - 7:37 a.m. A company representative reported that a vending machine had been burglarized. The complainant reported that he noticed the lock on the soft drink vending machine was broken. He then noticed that the parts inside of the machine that hold money were missing.
12720 - Credit Card Fraud - 6000 Block Choctaw Trails Dr. -12:15 p.m. A 41-year-old female reported that she was notified by the credit card company that an unknown person attempted to charge over $6000 in purchases at an unknown location in India. The card is a Sears Citi Mastercard.
12730 - Shoplifting - Wal-Mart @ 7950 Craft Goodman Rd. - 2:06 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a subject shoplifting. The Wal-Mart Loss Prevention officer stated that he observed the subject select multiple items from the shelf such as body wash, laundry detergent and motor oil, and then leave through the grocery exit without paying for the items. He stated the subject was confronted by Wal-Mart employees as he exited the building, causing him to flee on foot. He stated the total amount of goods the suspect attempted to steal was $233.89. The suspect was a male wearing a blue shirt with black shorts, and was last seen running towards Home Depot from Wal-Mart. Officers set up a perimeter and could not locate the suspect at first, but caught him about an hour-and-a-half later trying to return to his vehicle on the lot. The 48-year-old male was placed into custody.
