Crime Watch Notes Reported Tuesday, Aug. 17

 

 

12527 - Shoplifting - Dollar General Store @ 10956 Nichols Blvd. - 11:17 a.m.

Store management reported a female had been seen shoplifting.  Officers found the 36-year-old suspect in her Plymouth Voyager van on the lot and arrested her for shoplifting a pack of boy's t-shirts. 

 

 

12536 - Burglary of a Commercial Building - Brown Bag Cafe @ 9177 Hwy. 178 - 1:54 p.m.

Management reported that a door to the vacant section of the building had been kicked in and some tools taken.

 

 

12541 - Uttering Forgery Felony - Kroger Store @ 7427 Goodman Rd. - 2:45 p.m.

Management reported that a female black suspect had uttered three altered checks written to purchase debit cards using different personal information on each check.  They said this suspect has done this at other Kroger stores as well. 

 

 

12555 - Shoplifting - Gordin's Butcher Shoppe @ 6459 Hwy. 305 - 6:26 p.m.

Management observed a white male take two cartons of Newport cigarettes from the store without purchasing them. The manager and a witness tried to detain the subject without success. The suspect got away in a white compact car displaying a MS license tag. 

 

 

12567 - Motor Vehicle Theft - Fed Ex Ground @ 8505 Nail Rd. - 11:45 p.m.

A 26-year-old victim reported that his gold 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with 24-inch wheels had been stolen from the parking lot sometime during his shift. There was no broken glass where the vehicle had been parked.

 

 

OBPD officers also made arrests for Suspended Driver’s License (one) and Reckless Driving (one).
