OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Saturday, Aug. 14?>
12369 - Burglary of a Commercial Business - Check Cashing, Inc., 6574 Hwy. 305 - 8:14 a.m. OBPD was dispatched to Check Cashing, Inc., for a burglary. A window in the rear of the building was shattered and the electrical box appeared to have been tampered with. A small amount of cash may have been taken from the business.
12411 - Robbery - Bethel Rd @ College Rd. - 9:21 p.m. OBPD was dispatched to Baptist-DeSoto Hospital in reference to an assault. Officers spoke with the 51-year-old victim, who stated he was walking northbound on Bethel Road at approximately 8:45 p.m. when a white four door car occupied by two white males and two black males pulled up next to him. Three of the four males got out of the vehicle, assaulted him and stole his wallet containing about $150 cash. The unknown subjects then got into the vehicle and drove southbound on Bethel Rd. The victim sustained bruises and scratches.
OBPD also made arrests for Driving Under the Influence (one), Suspended Driver’s License (three), Contempt of Court (one), Domestic Violence (one), No Driver’s License (one) and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (one).
