OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Wednesday, July 28

 

 

11379 - Grand Larceny - YMCA @ 8555 Goodman Rd. - 3:21 p.m.
A 47-year-old victim reported that his locker was broken into at the YMCA. He secured his valuables in a locker with a master lock at approximately 2:05 p.m. He advised he then worked out and returned to his locker at approximately 3:10 p.m., and found the lock to be missing. He stated that someone had gotten into his locker and stolen $120 cash, a yellow gold wedding band and a Diners Club credit card. The credit card had already been used at Dillards in Southaven for the amount of $563.46. Detectives are reviewing YMCA video and Dillard's video in the case.

11380 - Grand Larceny - YMCA @ 8555 Goodman Rd. - 3:37 p.m.
A 65-year-old victim reported that he arrived at the YMCA at approximately 2 p.m. to workout. He secured his valuables in an empty locker with a master lock. He stated that when he returned to the locker at approximately 2:40 p.m., he noticed the lock he had placed on the locker was missing. His white gold wedding band valued at $500, a college class ring with his full name engraved on it valued at $1500, $50 cash, a Discover credit card, a Charles Swab credit card and a MATC debit card were missing. He said he had contacted the credit card companies to advise them they had been stolen and was informed that one of the cards had been used numerous times already at Dillard's in Southaven for a total of $1119.86. Detectives are reviewing YMCA video and Dillard's video in the case.

11385 - Shoplifting - Dollar General @ 10956 Nichols Blvd. - 5:02 p.m.
The management at the Dollar General Store reported having a shoplifter detained. The 40-year-old female had concealed items in her purse for a total of $30. Items were a Sharpie highlighter, Organic olive oil, Cracklins, Eckrich meat franks, turkey meat, a Sharpie Marker, two boxes of Milk Duds, a Master Lock combination,  black Dial combo soap and creamy aloe shampoo.

11389 - Petit Larceny -10700 Block of Oak Circle South - 5:53 p.m.
OBPD took a report from a complainant on two bicycles that had been stolen. The victim said that he had two bicycles sitting on his front porch and last saw the bikes Monday, July 26, 2010, at approximately 7 p.m. He described one of the bikes as a silver-and-blue Mongoose valued at approximately $160, and the other as a red Next 12 speed mountain bike valued at approximately $120.

OBPD officers also made Arrests for No Drivers License (one) and Suspended Driver’s License (one).
