OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Saturday, July 24 ?> 11130 - Malicious Mischief - 10133 Palmer Drive - 3:50 a.m. An OBPD officer was on routine patrol in the area of Magnolia Lakes Park near Alexander Rd. when he heard a strange noise that seemed to have originated from the corner of Palmer Dr. and Alexander. He realized the location was that of an abandoned home that had been damaged including a broken out back window, damage to walls, ceilings and one bedroom had burn damage.
11166 - Possession of Marijuana - 5700 Block of Hwy. 178 - 8:57 p.m. While on patrol, OBPD stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Hwy 178. While on the traffic stop OBPD K-9 indicated that there were drugs in the vehicle. Officers discovered marijuana and scales in the vehicle. An 18-year-old male was arrested.
11179 - DUI/Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon – Hwy. 302 Bypass - 11:58 p.m. OBPD received a call in regard to a white Ford Focus traveling east in the west bound lane of Hwy. 302 at the Hwy. 305 bypass. OBPD officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who was impaired. Officers discovered a firearm in the vehicle possessed by a convicted felon. The 29-year-old male was arrested.
OBPD officers also made arrests for DUI (two), No Driver’s License (one) and Contempt of Court (one).
