OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Friday, July 23
11066 - Receiving Stolen Property - Craft Rd. @ Goodman Rd. - 12:15 a.m. While on patrol, OBPD officers stopped a driver for careless driving on Hwy. 302. During the traffic stop officers discovered the driver had been drinking and was in possession of marijuana. The officers also discovered a Dell laptop which had been stolen out of North Carolina. The driver was placed into custody and transported to the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office.
11086 - Stolen Tag - 6300 Block of Oak Run Dr. - 11:48 a.m. A 17-year-old male reported that unknown suspect(s) had stolen the MS tag off of his Chevy pickup. The tag has an expiration date of September 2010.
11105 - Petit Larceny – McDonald’s @ 7150 Hacks Cross Rd. - 5:09 p.m. An 18-year-old male reported that his cell phone was stolen from McDonalds. He stated that he laid his HTC HERO cell phone on a table then got up to purchase some food and when he returned the cell phone was gone.
OBPD officers also made arrests for Fugitive from Justice (one), Domestic Violence (one), Public Drunk (one), Possession of Alcohol (two), Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (one) and DUI (one).
