02552 - Home Invasion Burglary -10000 Block of Palmer Dr. - 2:03 a.m. The Olive Branch Police Department is investigating an early morning home invasion burglary that occurred at approximately 2 a.m., Feb. 23, in the 10000 block of Palmer Dr. One suspect was armed with a handgun and another suspect was armed with a baseball bat. The suspects fled in a Chevy Avalanche. There was no forced entry to the home as they were acquaintances of one of the residents. All five suspects were apprehended by OBPD shortly thereafter and charged with Burglary of a Dwelling House-Home Invasion. Leighann Ingle, 18, of Olive Branch; Ashley Calhoun, 18, of Olive Branch; Chance Holland, 17, of Olive Branch; Dylan Vandyke, 17, of Olive Branch; and Matthew Shackelton, 17, of Olive Branch; were all charged as adults in the crime. During an altercation with the victims at the residence, suspect Chance Holland received some injuries. The suspects are each being held under a $50,000 bond at the DeSoto County Jail pending a March 2 court date.
02562-Credit Card use to Defraud- 6400 Block of Carson Dr. -12:23 p.m. A complainant reported that his credit card was used for $11.53 in Hernando. He stated the card has been with him the entire time.
02563 - Disturbance - 6800 Block of Newberry Cv. - 1:02 p.m. A complaint was taken from a homeowner over a threat she claims she received from some subjects that were working on her house. Officers spoke with the suspects in questions who claimed they were threatened by the homeowner so they left the residence. 02579 - Leaving the Scene, Private Property Accident - Target @ 5150 Goodman Rd. - 3:15 p.m. A 25-year-old female reported that her 2003 Nissan Pathfinder was struck while parked in the Target parking lot. The offender left the scene without reporting it.
02577 - Embezzlement - Synnex Corporation @ 10381 Stateline Rd. - 5:16 p.m. Officers responded to a call of an employee that was detained by security at the Synnex Corp. He was searched as he was leaving the business with a camera and charger hidden in his jacket. He was placed under arrest.
02585 - Grand larceny- Wal-Mart @ 7950 Craft-Goodman-Frontage Rd. - 8:13 p.m. A female reported that they she had accidentally left their purse in the infant section of Wal-Mart and when she retrieved it $2200 was missing from the purse. The victim and her boyfriend did state that they had just got their income tax check refund. The purse was left in the infant section but when they went to retrieve it someone had already turned the purse into Customer Service. Video is being reviewed. Officers made one DUI Arrest
