OBPD Crime Watch Notes - Incidents Reported Monday, Feb. 15

02160 – Armed Robbery – Home Depot @ 7740 Craft Goodman Frontage Rd. – 5:04 a.m.
On Feb. 15, the Home Depot at 7740 Craft Goodman Frontage Road was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 5 a.m.

The lone armed gunman was described as a male black, in his 30's, approximately 5-10 tall and weighing 200 pounds, wearing a blue jacket, black mask and a black ball cap. He was armed with what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun and was wearing latex gloves.

The suspect approached the female manager and two male employees as they arrived for work. He forced them at gunpoint into the vault area. He then ordered them to separate the coins from the cash and then place the cash into a bag as he held the handgun in his right hand.

Surveillance video shows that he had parked in the area of the IHOP Restaurant over an hour before the three employees arrived. After exiting Home Depot he went back to his vehicle and made his getaway in what is believed to be a small or mid-size gray four-door sedan. No one was injured in the robbery.

Detective Aubrey Broadway is the lead investigator on the case.
