MEMA Update Jul 23

July 23, 2010

By John Mayo (D., DeSoto County)

Mississippi House of Representatives

Here's some storm related updates from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

A group of North Mississippi reps were to fly over the spill site this morn, but alas today and the last three were cancelled due to the impending storm.  Good thing we did.  All the agencies are pulling their equipment out of the Gulf and back from the shoreline as a precaution

Actually, I sent out two of my address books when I got an release from the Gov's office declaring a state of emergency on the coast and a call up of additional National Guard to prepare.
