Auditions Set for Northwest Production of “Two Rooms”
By Brittany Greer?> For The Observer
Auditions for Northwest Mississippi Community College’s next theatre production, “Two Rooms” will be held on Wednesday, March 10, and Thursday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Senatobia campus. Northwest Speech and Theatre instructor Sadie Magadanz of Horn Lake will be the director of the play. “Two Rooms” only has four characters, whose roles are substantial to the play, according to Magadanz. “In the play, the character Michael is a teacher overseas who gets taken hostage by Arab terrorists,” Magadanz said. “The play is about his struggles and his wife, Lainie’s, ability to deal with the ordeal.” The other two roles are a reporter and representative of the State Department. Anyone can audition for these roles. A prepared dramatic monologue is suggested for the auditions. Sides will be available to read if nothing has been prepared. The play, by Lee Blessing, will run April 29 – May 2. For more information, contact Magadanz at 662-562-3329 or e-mail smagadanz@northwestms.edu . |
