Cast Named for Northwest Fall Musical

Play features DeSoto County talent

The cast of Northwest Community College’s fall musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” has been announced, according to play director and speech and theatre instructor Sadie Shannon.

“We had a great turnout at the auditions and were pleased with the amount of talent

shown by the students,” said Shannon. “We are really excited to see the final project.”

Cast members are Kevar Maffitt of Olive Branch as Charlie Brown, Hilary Jasmin of

Olive Branch as Sally Brown, Katie Hardeman of Hernando as Lucy Van Pelt, Tory

Eggers of Independence as Linus Van Pelt, Emma Wilson of Southaven as Snoopy, and Dalton Russell of Pittsboro as Schroeder.

Stage manager for the play is Gabby D’Arcangelo of Southaven.

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by

Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip "Peanuts."

Performance dates for the musical are Wednesday, Oct. 27, and Friday-Saturday, Oct. 29-30 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Senatobia campus. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, and $10 for the general public.
