Northwest Beauty Review Planned for Nov. 17 in Senatobia

The beauties of Northwest Mississippi Community College are set to steal the spotlight on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the annual Northwest Beauty Review. Fourty-one Northwest students will compete for the title of “Most Beautiful” at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Senatobia campus at 7 p.m. The Master of Ceremonies is retired faculty member D’Layne Smith. Participating in the Beauty Review from DeSoto County are Melody Shaw, Morgan Averesch, Meagan Woodard, Melissa DiFillippo, all of Southaven; Chelsey Hill, Jacara Sims, Kristi Worrell, Mandy Mason, all of Olive Branch; Alexia Sanders, Jessica Percy, Brittany Arendale, all of Hernando; Jenny Doan and Ana Acevedo of Horn Lake; and Melanie Crump of Lake Cormorant. Participating from Marshall County is Katrina Wells of Holly Springs. Participants from Tate County are Meagen Hill, Anita Bonilla, Hannah Sexton, Haley White and Amber Chambers, all of Senatobia. From Lafayette County are Katie Roach, Spenser Wilkinson, Caysie Vinson, Meagan McCluskey, Shauna Dickey, Autumn Wrenn, Emily Joslin, all of Oxford; Elizabeth Vance and Porshia Myers of Abbeville. Panola County participants are Sareka Chapman, Yolanda Fondren, Coressa Mosley, all of Batesville; Amanda Boling, of Sara; Haley Hood of Sardis; and Tequila Maxson of Courtland. Other contestants are Jessica Resell of Calhoun City, Latham James of Tunica, Holly Murphy of Baldwyn, April Roberts of Myrtle and Jazzlynn Hickman of Water Valley. Escorts for this year’s pageant will be Alex Barham and Seth Wooten, both of Independence. Northwest math instructor Kristie Waldrop and retired instructor Betty McKibben will serve as auditors. Last year’s “Most Beautiful” winner Kelsy Aldridge of Olive Branch will be on hand to crown this year’s winning contestant. “We are really excited about this year’s Beauty Review,” said Pam Wooten, Northwest activities manager and Beauty Review coordinator. “We have a lot of great contestants, and I am anxious to see who becomes our next ‘Most Beautiful.’” The “Most Beautiful” and four “Beauties” (first, second, third and fourth runners-up) will be showcased in the 2010 Rocketeer, the college yearbook.
