Northwest Mississippi Community College hosted six employees from John Deere Brazil who attended a four-day technical class on the 7760 Cotton Picker Aug. 16–20. The training took place in the Agricultural Technology building on the Senatobia campus. This is the second year that John Deere has conducted training for the 7760 Cotton Picker at Northwest. The group will take what they learned from the training back to John Deere technicians in Brazil and Argentina. Mauro Martini, who was with the group from Brazil, is a former employee of John Deere Brazil but is now employed by SLC Agricola Brazil, who owns and farms over 100,000 acres in Brazil. John Deere has selected Northwest as the only location for this type of training on the 7760 Cotton Picker.
