A fresh new voice!

University of Mississippi Chancellor Dr. Dan Jones (center) and Dr. Andrew Mullins (left), executive assistant to the Chancellor, visit with Northwest Mississippi Community College President Dr. Gary Lee Spears on Oct. 26 on the Senatobia campus. The chancellor was on his way for his first visit to DeSoto Center in Southaven where the two colleges share an educational partnership. Jones expressed enthusiasm about continuing the partnership at that location, calling it a “benefit to both institutions.” Dr. Spears agreed. “Our partnership at that location has really taken off. It works well for our students and for university students.” At DeSoto Center, Northwest provides the freshman and sophomore years of study while the University of Mississippi provides junior and senior-level classes in addition to several graduate study programs.  (Photo by Nancy Patterson)
