The Hernando DeSoto Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals selected Gerald Drumwright, president of Total Graphics in Southaven, as 2009/2010 Executive of the Year.  The event was held Oct. 29 at Smith & Nephew, Inc. in Memphis and was chaired by Gale Peden CPS, executive assistant to Ken Reali, Sr., vice-president & general manager of the Biologics and Spine Global Business Unit of Smith & Nephew. As the 2008/2009 EOTY, Reali was the keynote speaker, sharing “Things I Have Learned in Business.” The Executive of the Year event is held each year in October in recognition of National Bosses’ Day. The candidates for the award are nominated by their administrative assistants and judged on a point system by an independent panel of three judges in categories of education, business experience, personal and professional accomplishments, civic/community involvement, and support of IAAP. Drumwright excelled in all categories.  He was nominated by Barbara Chambers (pictured) CPS/CAP; and as the winner, the HDS chapter president Margie Rhodes CPS presented him with a plaque and a gift certificate to Andover Bed & Breakfast in Olive Branch.  To learn more about IAAP, contact Darlene McClure at 901-399-6683 or darlene.mcclure@smithnephew.com,  or go to www.iaap-hq.org.  (Courtesy photo)
