A fresh new voice!

Beauvoir, the last home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, has received a new donation. Randy Hailey (left), Sons of Confederate Veterans Commander of Pvt. Samuel L. Hughey Camp #1452 in DeSoto County, presented Beauvoir with three rocking chairs donated by the members of the camp on Jan. 15. These have been placed on the front porch for the use and enjoyment of visitors. Two additional chairs were delivered by Hailey in June, with more expected to be ready by September. (Courtesy photo)
